Given the significant advancements made in the Iranian ceramic industry in recent years, our country has transitioned from being a major importer to a prominent producer in various areas of ceramic production, such as tiles, chinaware, glass, and refractory materials. In addition to meeting domestic demands, some of these ceramic products are also considered for export by our country's exporters.
On the other hand, recent years have witnessed significant developments and progress in ceramic education and research in our country. Alongside the establishment of ceramic departments in several universities at different levels, the annual publication of hundreds of articles by researchers in reputable domestic and international journals and conferences stands as a significant indicator of the progress and advancement of research in this field in our country.
Considering the above points, there has been a longstanding need for the publication of a journal that could, on one hand, reflect the scientific opinions and research findings of domestic experts, and on the other hand, serve as a platform for presenting and disseminating industrial news, issues, opinions, and results of industrial and applied research. This need has been felt by the Iranian Ceramic Society for years.
Hopefully, the current journal can contribute, albeit in a small way, to achieving one of the Iranian Ceramic Society's important goals, which is to support the expansion of ceramic knowledge and foster greater connections between academic experts, research centers, and those involved in the ceramic industry.
"Iranian Ceramic Quarterly" is a periodical publication (quarterly) issued by the "Iranian Ceramic Society" in Persian. It commenced its activities in the spring of 2005 with a license from the Commission for Scientific Journals of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
This journal, accredited with scientific ranking "B" as of 2022, welcomes research and review articles from researchers, professors, and students.
