In this study,  in order to solve the challenges of  molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) such as low electrical conductivity and specific surface area, the MoS2/carbon foam composite was fabricated using the deposition of MoS2 on the carbon foam by hydrothermal method. Flexible carbon foam was synthesized by pyrolysis of melamine foam at 800 °C. In the next step, a simple hydrothermal method was utilized to precipitate the MoS2 on carbon foam using sodium molybdate and sulfur precursors at 200, 220 and 240 °C. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope (SEM) analyzes were performed for phase analysis, product identification and investigation of morphology, respectively. The obtained results have demonstrated the formation of 2H crystalline phase with hexagonal crystal structure in all samples. In all three samples, MoS2 flower-like microspheres were deposited on the pore walls of carbon foam. The higher reaction temperatures led to increase of MoS2 thickness on the carbon foam.
